Abstrak
White mustard is a horticultural plant that is suitable for cultivation in subtropical and tropical areas such as Indonesia. Chicory is also a vegetable plant that is very popular with the public. Based on data on household consumption of white mustard greens in Indonesia according to Susenas-BPS for 2018-2021, the average growth in white mustard consumption was 1.29% kg/cap/year. Karo district is one of the producers of horticultural crops, in this case white mustard greens. Data on the planting and harvesting area of white mustard greens in Karo district in 2021 is 3410 ha and the harvest is 54.07 tons/year. The producing area for white mustard greens is Gajah Village, Simpang Empat District, Karo Regency, with an average selling price of Rp. 1,000-1500/kg (Source: Karosatuklik April 2024). This research aims to analyze white mustard farming. The research was carried out in June - August 2024. Data analysis used income farming feasibility analysis, production BEP, price BEP and R/C ratio analysis. And the results of this research are targeted outcomes in the Agrotechnosains journal. The results of this research are that the R/C value for total costs is 2.07, which means every Rp. For 1 rupiah of money spent on farming, what is obtained is IDR 2.07 rupiah, because the R/C on cash costs is >1, the mustard greens farming business in Gajahini Village is feasible to carry out.
