Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify the soil chemical properties of orange plants in Garingging Village, Brand District, Karo Regency. This research was carried out from October 2024 to March 2025 on research land and in the laboratory. This research was carried out in 3 stages: (1) preparation stage and preliminary survey (2) main survey and sampling (3) laboratory analysis. Preparation stage and preliminary survey, at this stage secondary data is collected regarding the location where the research will be carried out. A preliminary survey was carried out to determine the condition of the research location in the field and determine sampling points. Main survey and sampling, soil sampling was carried out on orange land that was still productive. Laboratory analysis of soil parameters carried out included soil pH, C-organic, base saturation, cation exchange capacity, N-total, P-available, K-available in productive orange fields. The research results showed that Cation Exchange Capacity was low, Base Saturation was low, organic C was low, total N was low, available P was very low, available K was very low, and soil acidity (soil pH) was slightly acidic.
