Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the level of income of shallot farming in the research area is feasible to be cultivated, secondly to analyze the level of feasibility of shallots in the research area is feasible to be cultivated. In sampling using random sampling technique with a sample size of 30 shallot farmers. To analyze the formulation of problem 1, namely analyzing the income of shallot farming. Income is obtained by calculating the difference between the income of shallot farming and all costs used. To test the 2nd hypothesis, namely analyzing the feasibility of shallot farming in the research area, the R/C Ratio and B/C Ratio methods are used. The results of the study showed that the total cost of shallot farming per season is Rp. 13,240,896. where the total income from shallot farming activities is Rp. 42,425,000. The income of shallot farmers in Nagalingga Village is Rp. 29,184,104 per farmer and Rp. 114,218,137 per hectare. And the feasibility of red onion farming is known that the R/C value of red onion farming activities is 3.20 and B/C 2.02, the R/C and B/C values are >1, indicating that red onion farming is economically feasible to be carried out.
