Abstract
This cassava farming research was conducted in Deli Tua Village, Namorambe District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province using primary and secondary data. Simple random sampling was used to select 30 respondents for this study. This study aims to identify the elements that affect the production of cassava farming and the allocative efficiency of cassava production factors in Deli Tua Village, Namorambe District, North Sumatra Province. Cobb Douglas production function approach and allocation efficiency method are used in this research. Land area, labor, and seeds all showed a statistically significant effect on cassava yields, but fertilizers and pesticides had no effect. The results of the calculation of allocative efficiency show that the variables of land area, seeds and labor are not allocatively efficient so that their use needs to be increased. However, fertilizer and pesticide variables are not allocatively efficient.
