PENGARUH KARAKTERISTIK PERSONAL TERHADAP KINERJA USAHA WANITA TANI KENTANG DI KECAMATAN NAMAN TERAN

Abstract

Horticultural plants are part of the agricultural plants cultivated by farmers. Horticultural crops cover a wide range of flora, including ornamental plants as well as edible fruits and vegetables. Potato plants are one type of vegetable plant cultivated in Indonesia. Potato cultivation is expected to develop rapidly in many regions in Indonesia, especially in locations where soil conditions are favorable for potato cultivation. The expansion of potato cultivation in Tanam Teran Regency has not provided a commensurate increase in annual yields. Successful land management for optimal potato production requires unwavering dedication and expertise from women potato farmers, who have to deal with a variety of environmental situations. Only women farmers who have the necessary personal attributes can face this challenge. This research aims to examine the influence of personal factors on the success of women farmers' businesses in Naman Teran District. The research used the SEM-PLS methodology and took a sample of 30 female farmers. The research results show that personal characteristics do not have a positive and significant effect on the business performance of women potato farmers.
