STRATEGI KOMUNIKASI GURU KEPADA MURID DI SD NEGERI 135564 KOTA TANJUNG BALAI PADA MASA COVID-19

Abstrak

The purpose of this research is to discuss the teacher-student communication strategy at SD Negeri 135564 Tanjungbalai during the Covid-19 pandemic, and what are the supporting factors and obstacles that teachers encounter in communicating and how efforts can be made to overcome these obstacles. This research is a type of field research with qualitative methods and was conducted at SDN 135564, Tanjungbalai City. Based on the results of the study, there are 3 communication strategies used by teachers, namely, communicating through intermediary parents of students, through social media, and by visiting students' residences directly. The supporting factors are the not too many students, most of the students are residents around the school and there is a study quota from the government. While the inhibiting factors are the difficulty of communicating with students' parents, there are still many students who do not have access to computers or mobile phones, the limitations of students and parents in using computer and mobile technology media, the many reasons for network constraints and students whose homes are far from the school environment. However, the teachers have prepared solutions to overcome any existing communication barriers.
