Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of work motivation and leadership style on the work discipline of employees of the Simpang Empat sub-district office, Karo Regency. The population in this study were 38 employees and all of them were used as research samples. Methods of data collection using questionnaires distributed to all respondents. Data is processed by multiple linear regression method. The results showed that simultaneously work motivation and leadership style had a significant effect on employee work discipline at the Simpang Empat Subdistrict Office, Karo Regency. Partially and simultaneously, work motivation and leadership style have a significant effect on employee work discipline at the Simpang Empat Subdistrict Office, Karo Regency. The results of the test for the coefficient of determination show that the R Square value is 0.342, meaning that 34.20% of employee discipline in the Simpang Empat Subdistrict Office of Karo Regency is influenced by work motivation and leadership style and the remaining 65.80% is influenced by other factors outside of this study.
