The contextual learning model is a learning approach that links subject matter with students' real-world situations, encouraging them to connect knowledge with their daily experiences. The goal is that students not only understand the material theoretically, but are also able to apply it in their lives. In elementary school, learning triangles is part of flat building material in math lessons. Students will be introduced to the basic concept of a triangle, which is a flat shape bounded by three sides and three angles. In addition, students will also learn about the types of triangles based on the length of the side and the size of the angle, as well as the formula for calculating the area and perimeter of a triangle. The ability to solve triangle problems at the elementary school level involves understanding the basic concepts of triangles, area and perimeter formulas, and the ability to apply these concepts in various types of problems. This study is to determine whether there is an effect of contextual learning model based on the ability to solve triangle problems at UPT SD Negeri 060938 medan johor in class 5? The research method was carried out by giving post test and pre test questions to students and the problems solved were triangles that had been studied previously and testing paired sample t tests, data normality tests, simple linear regression tests, homogeneous tests, coefficient of determination tests, t tests.
