Abstract

This study aims to determine the description of the learning interest of the fourth grade students
of SD Negeri Berastagi, the description of the learning outcomes of the fourth grade students
of SD Negeri Berastagi, and the significant influence of learning interest on the learning
outcomes of the fourth grade students of SD Negeri Berastagi in the academic year 2020/2021.
This type of research is an ex post facto study using a quantitative descriptive approach. The
population in this study were all students of grade IV SD Negeri Berastagi as many as 30 people
and the sampling technique used a total sample so that the sample in the study amounted to 30
people.
Data collection techniques used to describe the interest in learning using a
questionnaire or questionnaire. As for the learning outcomes data, it can be seen from the score
of the odd semester social studies subject. The data processing technique used is validity test,
reliability test and hypothesis test t test. The results of this study indicate that the description of
learning interest in class IV SD Negeri Berastagi is in a good category with a total
questionnaire value of 1361 with an average of 85.06. The description of the learning outcomes


of the fourth grade students of SD Negeri Berastagi in the good category with a total score of
2500 and an average of 83.33 in the end. There is a significant influence between the interest
in learning on the learning outcomes of the fourth grade students of SD Negeri Berastagi for
the 2020/2021 academic year with a t-count value of 3.483 which is greater than the t-table
value of 2.080 and a significance value of 0.651.
