Abstract

The purpose of this research is to see the effect of the drill learning method on the multiplication and division calculation skills of students at SD Negeri 040446 Kabanjahe. The type of data used in this research is quantitative data in the form of the drill method and students' multiplication and division calculation skills. To obtain this data, quantitative data collection uses tests. The results of the research show that there is an influence of the drill learning method on the multiplication and division calculation skills of students at SD Negeri 040446 Kabanjahe. The results of this analysis can be seen with the independent t test showing a significant average difference between the two groups, with a calculated t of 4.235 and a significance value of 0.000 (p<0.05). These results confirm that the drill learning method is effective in improving students' multiplication and division calculation skills. Therefore, it is recommended that educators consider using the drill method in an effort to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes in class, especially in overcoming difficulties in calculating multiplication and division
