Abstract
The priority in mathematics learning in elementary schools is instilling basic concepts in students. In learning mathematics in elementary school, of course there are various kinds of obstacles and problems, namely students still think that mathematics is a difficult and complicated subject. This assumption causes student learning outcomes in mathematics to be low. The next obstacle is that students do not understand what the teacher conveys in delivering the material. Elementary/MI age children are in the age range of 7 – 12 years, at this time children can carry out various concrete tasks, but cannot think formally and abstractly. Meanwhile, Mathematics lessons have abstract event objects, deductive and consistent thinking patterns. To help students' understanding in learning, media is needed in the form of teaching aids. With teaching aids, abstract things can be presented in the form of models in the form of concrete objects that can be seen, manipulated, and tinkered with so that they are easily understood by students, so that students will find it easier and happier to learn Mathematics. One of those props is Dakota. Dakota (dakon mathematics) is a visual media in mathematics learning which is a new innovation as a mathematics learning media. Dakota combines traditional games and math learning. When applying Dakota teaching aids in the learning process, students look active, creative and fun. Active, creative and fun students can be seen during the learning process by applying Dakota props where students are more active in asking questions and want to move forward to try Dakota props themselves. Based on the pre-test and post-test results, the lowest pretest score was 30 points and the highest score was 70 points, with an average of 53.04 points. Meanwhile, the lowest post-test score was 70 points and the highest score was 100 points with an average of 87.83 points. Thus, it can be said that there is an increase in learning outcomes for class IV students, Mis Al-ittihadiyah Berastagi. Then from the results of the hypothesis test, the calculated t value was 4.928 while the t table value was 2.080. Because the calculated t value is greater than t table, namely t_count=4.928 > t_tabel=2.080, it can be stated that H_o is rejected so that H_1 is accepted, namely that there is an influence of using Dakota teaching aids on Mis Al-ittihadiyah Berastagi's mathematics learning outcomes.
