Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze mathematical anxiety and self-concept towards learning outcomes in mathematics. This type of research is quantitative research, while the sample is class XI students of SMA Negeri 2 Kabanjahe. The type of data used in this research is quantitative data in the form of mathematical anxiety, self-concept and students' mathematics learning outcomes. To obtain these data, researchers used two quantitative data collection methods, namely the documentation method and the questionnaire method. The results showed that there was a significant effect of mathematical anxiety on the mathematics learning outcomes of SMA N 2 Kabanjahe students partially which could be seen from the high mathematics learning outcomes of 91. The results of the mathematical anxiety level were included in the medium category at 84%, self-concept was included in moderate category of 64%. So it can be said that high learning outcomes are not influenced by high/low self-concept. While the results of the multiple regression analysis test can be seen that there is a simultaneous effect on student learning outcomes, which means that the high and low mathematics learning outcomes are related to self-concept and mathematical anxiety.
